Guidance on Preventive Screenings and Proactive Health Checks

Access to timely screenings and health checks is a cornerstone of preventive care. We provide clear, practical guidance on the types of screenings women should consider at different stages of life — from cervical and breast cancer screenings to cardiovascular, diabetes, and reproductive health assessments.

Our resources are designed to help women across diverse regions understand what preventive measures are available locally, how to access them, and why early detection matters. By highlighting conditions that disproportionately affect Black women, such as uterine fibroids and certain chronic illnesses, we advocate for proactive health monitoring that reduces late diagnoses and improves outcomes.

Resource Navigation for Underserved Communities

Healthcare systems vary across countries, and navigating them can be challenging — especially for women in underserved or marginalised communities. We provide tailored support to help women understand their rights, identify available services, and overcome barriers to care.

Our work includes connecting women with trusted providers, community organisations, and international health initiatives. We also shine a light on systemic inequities, amplifying the voices of Black women who too often face disparities in access and treatment. By offering personalised guidance, we ensure that women everywhere feel supported in their pursuit of equitable healthcare.

Toolkits for Navigating Healthcare Systems

We create practical toolkits that empower women to confidently engage with healthcare systems in their own countries. These toolkits explain how to:

  • Register with local health providers and access specialist care
  • Understand pathways within public and private healthcare systems
  • Prepare for medical appointments and ask informed questions
  • Access financial support, community health programmes, and advocacy services

Designed to be culturally responsive and accessible in multiple languages, our toolkits bridge the gap between medical knowledge and lived experience. They give women the tools to advocate for themselves, challenge inequities, and ensure their voices are heard in every healthcare setting.
